Description

With Grace Gershuny (Author, Organic Revolutionary) and Dorothy Mullen (Founder, The Suppers Programs)

From whole foods to slow foods to sustainable local agriculture, the many-faceted 'good food movement' is a major area of intersection of the health of people, the environment, and our economy. Join NOFA-NJ for a discussion with Grace Gershuny and Dorothy Mullen on current trends in the 'good food movement' and how we can build solidarity amongst consumers, health advocates, conservationists, farmers, and the rest of us to guide our society in a sustainable direction.

Grace Gershuny is the author of Organic Revolutionary and a faculty member at Green Mountain College, and has played a key role in developing the USDA National Organic Program as well as independent organic certification standards. Dorothy Mullen is the founder of The Suppers Programs, a learn-by-doing program helping participants recover vibrant health through cooking and sharing food in community. Dorothy is an educator and holistic health care practitioner in Princeton, and a former board president of the Foundation for the Advancement of Innovative Medicine.

Free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30. Program is preceded by light reception.
